Thanks to” Riverdance – The Gathering”, getting your name into the Guinness World Record book is as easy as 1, 2, 3… or should we say 5, 6, 7,8. Everyone is invited to put on their jig shoes and line up along the banks of the River Liffey in Dublin for an exciting attempt to break the current record for the longest line of Riverdance. No need to feel the pressure when you are joined by Riverdance stars like Jean Butler and Niamh O’Connor in Ireland’s capital city, as they try to smash the record held by Nashville, USA, of 652 participants. The goal is to have at least 1,000 people lining up in a continuous, 1km long line along the Liffey for this very special gathering event. To participate, you need to know basic Irish dancing, learn some of the core Riverdance steps and be fit enough to dance for five minutes. And if you’re not quite up for the dancing, don’t worry; everyone is invited to come down and watch this fun and historic moment, which is sure to be a spectacular sight.
